Additional trainings will be held in other areas as needed.
Through a series of presentations and interactive exercises, participants learned about chapter elements, resources, and expectations.
They learned strategies and practiced skills in recruitment, project planning, and communication.

More than 70 Best Buddies supporters ran in the following races: the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, Four-Person Relay or 5K. By signing up through Best Buddies, the entry fee for any of these races was only $5!

Best Buddies Maryland hosted a Happy Hour Thursday, August 13 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Little Havana, 1325 Key Hwy, in Baltimore. By donating $5 to BBMD, customers enjoyed extended Happy Hour prices and a free appetizer buffet.
In addition to the specials, there was a door prize drawing, a 50/50 raffle and live music!

Centennial High School hosted our annual red carpet recognition event, open to all Best Buddies participants and supporters. The event included awards, entertainment, and a reception.
March 28, 2009 14th Annual Friendship Games and 2nd Annual Walkathon College Park, Maryland
For the 14th year, more than 600 Best Buddies participants of all ages from communities throughout Maryland came together to enjoy a festive and fun-filled day of carnival style games and entertainment.
We kicked off the Friendship Games with a one mile Walkathon to benefit Best Buddies Maryland. Together with our families and friends, we walked proudly in support of ending social isolation for Marylanders with intellectual disabilities.

January 31, 2009 Best Buddies Night with the Baltimore Blast Baltimore, Maryland
For the third year, the Baltimore Blast Major Indoor Soccer Team and Panda Express hosted a Best Buddies Night, at the 1st Mariner Arena. 186 Best Buddies participants and supporters attended.
