Best Buddies Maryland
Congratulations to Salisbury University for being named the college chapter of the month! Throughout this semester, they have shown tremendous improvements to their chapter and are an example to other chapters of how to meet the mission of Best Buddies.
Under the leadership of Stacy Brown, the College Buddy Director, the officers and chapter held monthly meetings and several events for Buddy Pairs to spend time together and allow their friendships to grow. Many Buddy Pairs get together for lunch at the host site or meet up for dinner often.
In April, the chapter members watched the movie Invictus together on campus. They also held a successful and lucrative bake sale in April which raised money to go towards the chapter’s dues. Their last group event for the semester was a guided tour of the Salisbury Zoo which was fun and exciting for all who attended.
Even though the Salisbury chapter had a late start this year, they were able to turn things around and have an amazing spring semester. They worked hard in a small amount of time and because of this strong friendships were formed.
Thank you to the Best Buddies Salisbury chapter for a great semester and we look forward to another great year next year! Way to go! |
